FAQ

Children enrolled in Mighty Camp spend approximately three hours daily in sport-focused “Learn to Play Workshops.” The remainder of their time is spent engaged in other activities like STEAM, swimming, yoga, improv classes, character and life skills programming, and local field trips. See the Activities page for more.
What's makes Genesis Health Clubs youth programs different?

Genesis youth programs are designed so there is truly something for every child to love. Whether your child thrives in sports, creativity, social connection, or hands-on learning, our programs offer a dynamic mix of activities that keep kids excited, engaged, and wanting to come back each day.

We intentionally build confident, capable problem solvers through daily sports, swimming, creative STEAM projects, and character programming that develops perseverance, kindness, teamwork, reliability, and self-confidence. Our full health-club environments give campers access to real gyms, pools, courts, and play spaces — allowing children to explore movement, discover what they love, and naturally build healthy habits.

Children leave Genesis not just active, but happier, more confident, socially connected, and proud of who they are becoming — and parents love knowing their child is growing in both skill and character in a safe, high-quality environment.

How old does my child have to be to attend camp?

Our camps are designed for children ages 5–12. Miramont North Mighty Outdoor Adventure Camp serves ages 5–14. Orlando Sportsplex serves ages 5–11. Our Campers in Leadership Training (CILT) program is designed for ages 12–15.

Need a flexible schedule?

Absolutely! Custom scheduling options are available based on remaining space. These options open one month after general enrollment begins, once we have a clearer picture of availability. Please visit your camp location’s page for specific dates and pricing.

What if our summer plans change after enrolling?

We understand that plans can change. At Mighty Camps, each camper’s experience is intentionally planned in advance through staffing, group placement, and activity supply preparation to ensure a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for every child.

Schedule changes submitted more than two weeks prior to your child’s session start date are subject only to the applicable Change Form Fee.
Schedule changes submitted between two weeks and one week prior to the session start date will receive a credit for the current calendar year, minus the applicable Change Form Fee.
Schedule changes submitted less than one week prior to the session start date are not eligible for refund or credit due to planning already in place.

All changes must be submitted through our online Change Form.

Do you have day camp available during the school year?

Yes! Many of our locations offer No School Day Camp and No School Day Club during the school year. These programs are available on days when local school districts are out of session and follow each area’s school calendar. Please visit your camp location’s page to view specific dates, availability, and program details.

My child can be nervous about trying new activities, especially sports. How do you support that?

We create an encouraging environment where campers are free from evaluation and pressure while being given meaningful opportunities to try new things. Campers are taught that not everyone will be good at everything — and that’s okay. What matters most is having the courage to try, learn, and grow.

We celebrate effort, perseverance, and personal progress, and we support each child in building confidence at their own pace.

Does camp offer professional lessons or enrichment opportunities?

Yes. We offer optional professional instruction opportunities, referred to as Add-Ons, for campers who would like additional skill-based learning beyond the regular camp schedule. These sessions are led by certified professionals and take place during the camp day. In some cases, Add-On sessions may overlap with scheduled camp activities.

Depending on the location, Add-Ons may include Swim Lessons, Tennis Lessons, and Pickleball Lessons. Locations that do not offer Add-Ons through the enrollment options can still assist families in connecting with in club professionals for private instruction.

Can I visit the facility or speak with someone before enrolling?

Absolutely! All of our locations offer tours, and we would love to connect with you. You’re welcome to submit a request through our Request Information page, or visit your location’s page to find direct contact information for your Camp Director. We’re happy to answer your questions and help you decide if Mighty Camp is the right fit for your child.

Will my child be grouped with children of the same age?

At Mighty Camp, we intentionally design opportunities for both age-appropriate grouping and mixed-age interaction. Campers are assigned to small camp teams made up of children close in age to ensure comfort and connection. Throughout the day, campers also participate in designated activities that bring multiple teams together, creating meaningful opportunities for mixed-age play.

This structure allows younger campers to learn by observing older peers, while older campers build leadership, empathy, patience, and confidence — creating a supportive, community-centered camp environment.

What happens during Drop-Off and Pick-Up?

At the time of Pick-Up, counselors will also ask to see each parents photo I.D. to verify authorization of release and check-in with each camper to ensure all items brought to camp are returning home.

Will I receive more details before my child’s session begins?

Yes! Your Camp Director will send a “What to Expect” email approximately one week before your child’s session begins. This email will include helpful details on what to bring, location-specific reminders, and a sneak peek at the themed activities planned for your camper’s week.

How much does camp cost?

This depends on the registration option you choose (number of days per week), your location, number of siblings enrolled, and any add-on programs you select. See your camp location page for pricing.
